CDs
A series of 42 unique prints of broken cds and dvds with additional drypoint engraving. I meant to bind them into an artist book, but never got round to it.
Based on a lecture I attended somewhere, about the average life spans of digital media, which in the case of cd-roms is somewhere around 10 years. Opposed to that, cuneiform writing on clay tablets survives for thousands of years. Combining those two techniques leads to letters engraved on cds and printed on nice mouldmade paper, and a longer lifespan for the information stored in those cds.
